Sgt. Sam Crawford, a leading homicide detective at the Berkeley PD is severely wounded during a murder investigation, just a few months before tying the knot with his soulmate.

 

His fiancée, medical examiner Dr. Alex Wallace at the Coroner’s Bureau goes into the protective custody program of the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office when unknown crooks persistently attempt to kill her.

 

Frustrated by his slow recovery and being sidelined from the investigation when she needs him the most, he calls in his journalist buddy to assist him to uncover who is targeting her and why. Soon, they make startling discoveries, one of which is the word raven. Later that changes the direction of the whole investigation as murder gets personal.

 

As the detectives at the BPD and ACSO feel that evil is freely roaming in their jurisdictions, the stakes get higher when they realize they have a serial killer on their hands and that nobody is safe. Unbeknownst to all, a potential lead may be hidden among the agencies as suspicions mount.
